The total number of employees is more than 2000 people. 20 thousand specialists from the
Russian Federation, countries of the CIS, Africa, Asia ands East Europe and the USA are trained at
the Academy each year.  The duration of tutoring varies from 20 days to 5 years. The improvement of
professional skills is carried out practically in all areas of clinical, sanitary-hygienic ands medical-
social studies.  Training of physicians, biologists, public health managers, psychologists,
sociologists, dentists, experts in the field of a healthy way of life, is the main aim of the education at
MAPS.

The
MAPS MD/Nurse Diploma Program was established for purposes for permitting medical doctors
the opportunity to retrain as registered nurses.  While this may seem “uncommon” when one first
reads of the MD/Nurse program, further investigation and Internet research will demonstrate that this
type of retraining program has become very viable as a means for an internationally trained
MD/MBBS to achieve ultimate licensing as a physician in the United States of America.

Detailed information on this is found at our
Green Cards for MD’s page.

The MAPS MD/Nurse program will earn the doctor a Russian Ministry of Health nurse diploma, which
in itself permits the holder to work as a level one nurse in Russia. Being authorized by the
Government where the nurse diploma is earned, and permitting the holder to work as a level one
nurse (license), are the requirements to be recognized by the Commission for Graduates of Foreign
Nursing Schools (
CGFNS), and its Certification Program.

Successful passing of English tests and the Certification Program examination, permit US
Employers to bring the doctor to the US with a green card, to work as a registered nurse, where he or
she will earn on an average of $50.000 per year.

More importantly, having immigrated to the US with as a lawful permanent resident (green card)
permits the doctor to satisfy the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (
ECFMG)
requirements in the US, and if the doctor can earn the ECFMG Certificate, he or she can pursue
hospital residencies, and ultimately licensing in the US as a physician.

The MAPS/MD Nurse Diploma program is fully and officially authorized by CGFNS for its Certification
Program.

The
Credential Evaluation Service (CES) of CGFNS, has evaluated the MAPS curriculum and
determined that it is “Comparable to a RN program in the United States.

Dr Raza, a graduate of the MAPS MD/Nurse Diploma Program, has sat for the Florida Board of
Nursing NCLEX-RN exam, based on the MAPS Diploma, and has been licensed in that state as a
Registered Nurse, where he is pursing the USMLE Steps for ultimate licensing as a physician.
