| The Kiev Medical Institute (KMI) has officially been designated as a Ukrainian University, but shall continue to use the "Institute" designation until further notice. KMI is an Educational Institute fully authorized by the Ukrainian Ministry of Health. The Faculties include the Medical Faculty, Stomotology Faculty, the Pharmaceutical Faculty and the Nursing Faculty. KMI’s Nursing Faculty graduates have already applied to and been evaluated by CGFNS for its Certification Program. Graduates of the KMI Nursing Faculty have sat for and passed the CGFNS exam and those nurses with passing scores on their English exams have been issued their CGFNS Certificates. Doctors follow the posted curriculum based on local/international transfer hours from their respective
professional schools, provided the doctor has General Education Requirements and minimum number of
hours for the following subjects:
Anatomy including Histology & Embryology 250
Physiology 200
Biochemistry 135
Pathology 130
Microbiology 100
Pharmacology 150
As a practical matter, those per subject hours indicated for the MD/Nurse Program exceed the minimum
requirements for a diploma to be recognized as a level one nurse. Put otherwise, a registered nurse’s 2
year college diploma education in the US earned after 12 years of High School and pre-requisites (upon
which the international standard is based) is far less that the hours indicated for medical and other
professional doctors in the MAPS curriculum. However, because those are “general” hours for most
medical schools in those subjects, they were used for that curriculum’s development.
Generally both a Homeopathic doctor, a dental doctor and a Ayurvedic doctor each study the requisite
number of hours for the listed subjects in their respective professional schools to satisfy the
local/international transfer hours..
HOMEOPATHIC DOCTORS:
Must have completed Degree/diploma of Bachelor for Homeopathic Surgery and Medicine (BHMS)
DENTAL DOCTORS:
Must have completed a 5-year dental course
AYURVEDIC DOCTORS:
Must have completed 5-years theory + 6-months rotary internship degree program for Bachelor of Ayurvedic
Medicine and Surgery (BAMS).
The BHMS, the BAMS and Dental course the doctors completed must have as its “Eligibility for Admission”
a Higher Secondary or equivalent qualification (10 + 2) with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The educational institution from which the degree/diploma was earned must be approved by the country’s
Ministry of Education or Health, e.g., the following organizations for the country of India:

Or similar government professional and/or licensing bodies in the country where the degree/diploma was

The doctor’s degree/diploma must have been earned in a “government” approved professional school.
No correspondence course degrees are accepted.
Enrollment Procedures:
No age restrictions to enroll into any program offered through KMI.
MANDATORY ARRIVAL DATES:
The country of Ukraine permits students to arrive to commence their studies only during the period of
August 15th to November 15th each year.
Ukrainian Consulates: Each Ukrainian Consulate has its own procedures for the issuance of visas.
Doctors are advised to check with the Ukrainian Consulate in your country at the first opportunity so there is
no delay in the issuance of your visa.
